The Way is an image of homecoming for me. A return to the water, a return to a richer way ofliving, a return to the birthplace of my grandmother, and to beloved cousins. More literally, it is an expression of residual bliss from a midnight summer swim in Lago Maggiore near Locarno, Switzerland. Not pictured are the pair of swans who glided silently around me.
